Our Story

Started with a pair of school socks

Growing up, I always assumed that socks were just comfortable. I have always had v sensitive skin, so synthetic socks were always a no go for me. Now no school really cared about that, so we had to buy the itchy socks that are a part of the school uniform. Lucky for me tho, we manufactured socks. 

We got the exact same uniform socks made for me. The same colour, same design. Just without the constant urge to take them off.

And that was basically my normal for years.

It genuinely took me a while to realise that most people cannot just get their socks remade because the fabric is annoying them. (i was a kid, 12 year olds don't really think with a lot of logic)

Apparently, custom school socks are not a universal experience. (yes i can see the privilege) 

By then, we had already been making socks for over a decade, so the actual making part was something we knew pretty well. At some point, it just clicked, if this had always made such a difference to me, maybe it would for other people too.

Dulnair really just came from taking that comfort I had always been used to and making it available without needing access to a sock factory.

So yeah, this brand may technically exist because I was very particular about my school socks.
